Thank you for your interest in our 5th Annual Native Plant Giveaway! Complete an application on behalf of a group/organization (non-profit, church, school, club, neighborhood, business, etc.) to be considered to receive free native perennial plants. Individuals may apply as long as plants will be planted in a shared space (not a private residential location).
Because our Native Plant Giveaway this year is made possible by a grant from the Nebraska Environmental Trust, some of our guidelines have changed. This year, at least 50 groups will be selected to receive plants (about half will receive 32 plants and about half will receive 64 plants). Each group selected will also receive an accompanying educational sign to be displayed.
Eligibility and Details:
+Completion of the application (link below) is required by Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Those selected to participate will be notified no later than May 1st via email.
+ To receive plants, organizations (non-profits, schools, churches, neighborhood associations, businesses, scout groups, clubs, etc.) and individuals may apply as long as plants will be planted in a shared space in Nebraska (not a private residential location).
+ Plants are available for pick up on Friday, May 17th from 2pm to 5pm at Omaha South High School. Special accommodations (on a very limited basis) may be made for applicants from outside the Omaha area.
+ Applicants must commit to not reselling and not spraying any form of pesticide on any plants received.
