Garden Designs

Free gardens will be available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis at our free public Native Plant Giveaway and Environmental Expo on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1-4pm at Omaha South High School. 250 gardens in total will be given out. Plants can also be purchased at local native nurseries or from our supplier, Midwest Natives Nurseries in Lincoln, Nebraska. Please note these designs are specifically for the midwest region and each garden contains a bloomer for spring/summer/fall (food source), milkweed (monarch host plant), and grass/sedge (for shelter and nesting).
