Nebraska Monarchs is an all volunteer organization, and our work relies on donations from the public. Over 85% of all donations go directly back into our community, with the remaining 15% covering overhead costs. When you choose to give to Nebraska Monarchs, your donation truly makes a difference!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! Nebraska Monarchs is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Your contribution is deductible to the extent allowed by law. Under IRS guidelines, the estimated value of benefits you have received, if any, in consideration for your gift is not substantial and will not affect your ability to deduct your gift as a charitable contribution.

  • Donations made go to creating native pollinator habitat in Nebraska and Iowa. Annually, Nebraska Monarchs gives out over 300 native perennial pollinator microhabitats. Each habitat has spring/summer/fall bloomers, milkweed, and grasses/sedges. Plants for habitats are purchased locally in Nebraska.

  • We do have an Amazon wish list that we update as in-kind items are needed.

  • Absolutely! Donating in honor/memory of someone is a wonderful way to commemorate them. Please be sure to note that on the donation, and let us know if you would like any notifications to be sent.
